Privacy policy
Legato Music follows the principle of least privilege. We do not listen to, record, harvest, or store user voice audio, direct messages, or server conversations.
1. Information we store
Legato stores only the configuration data required to play audio and retain server settings:
- Server identifiers: Discord Server ID, Voice Channel ID, and Text Channel ID to direct playback and command embeds.
- User identifiers: Discord User ID when saving personal playlists (to link playlists to your account).
- Active playback state: Current song title, track URL, and queue order during an active session. This data is discarded when playback ends.
- Server preferences: Custom prefix, 24/7 designated channels, and ignored channels set via
+ignorechannel.
2. What we do not collect
- We never listen to or record audio spoken in Discord voice channels.
- We never store or index member chat messages.
- We never ask for Discord Administrator permissions.
- We do not sell user or server identifiers to advertisers or third parties.
3. Streaming platforms and queries
Search queries and playlist URLs (from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Deezer, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, JioSaavn, or Gaana) are processed solely to resolve playable audio streams. We do not store your personal login credentials for any streaming platform.
4. Data retention and self-cleaning messages
Queue data is temporary and clears when the bot leaves the voice channel. Cooldown warnings and error alerts delete themselves after 10 seconds to keep your server chat clean.
5. Removing your data
Server administrators can reset server configurations at any time. Users can delete saved playlists using playlist commands, or request full deletion of their data in our Discord Support Server.
